UPDATE: Skating at 1:30 on Sunday

Due to a scheduling conflict, the Skating Merit Badge will take place on Sunday at 1:30.

Mr. Robertson, a Skating Merit Badge Counselor, is willing to meet with scouts who are interested in earning the merit badge next Sunday, March 22, at Fleetwood Roller Rink (7231 S Archer, Archer & Harlem) during the open skate at 1:30 p.m. Scouts should familiarize themselves with the requirements (http://meritbadge.org/wiki/index.php/Skating). Those interested need to contact Mr. Robertson IN ADVANCE at brobertson5152@aol.com. The cost is $8 to skate and $3 for rentals. Scouts may also choose to bring their own inline skates or roller skates. Family and friends are also encouraged to attend for the fun of it.

Pathway to Adventure Council Patches

All of our scouts and leaders should have received a notice from the Council saying that we could get a uniform patch with the name of the new council, “Pathway to Adventure Council” by bringing in the voucher/coupon to the scout store. Some of you have tried to do that, and the store was out of patches. Mr. Robertson has obtained a number of patches and will bring them to the meeting on Thurday. Scouts can redeem their patch with the voucher that was mailed to them. They must have the voucher and fill it out in order to redeem the patch.

No Troop Meeting Thursday

REMINDER: Due to set-up for Pancake Breakfast, there is no regular Troop meeting this Thursday, March 5. Those scouts who are assigned to set-up as their job for Pancake Breakfast should be at RPC promptly at 7:00. You have already received your job assignment; please be sure you know what you are supposed to be doing. If you have not turned in your Pancake Breakfast money, Mrs. Jones will be at RPC on Thursday to collect it.

Pancake Breakfast in 6 Days!

Troop 24 — are you ready? The Pancake Breakfast is only 6 days away! As of today all of you have received your work assignment schedule and job instructions packets. If you were not at last Thursday’s meeting then it was dropped off to your house this weekend — if no one was at home, it was placed in the mailbox. Be sure that you have read your instructions prior to the date of the breakfast. Here is the final scout schedule: Pancake Scout Schedule. If you switch with someone, please be sure to email Sue Jones so the schedule can be updated.
