Popcorn Update

At Thursday’s Troop Meeting, scouts were given Popcorn Order Forms for this year’s sale. Unlike in Cub Scouts, all the profits from popcorn sales go back to your scout to be used for summer camp or other troop outings. 35% of YOUR Scout’s total Popcorn Sales, including Military Donations, are directly applied to his Summer Camp fees: Sell $500, earn $175 towards Camp!

Please mark these important dates on your home calendar:

  • Thursday, October 15 – Popcorn Order Forms and monies due at Troop meeting – all checks should be made payable to Boy Scout Troop 24
  • Saturday, November 7 – Popcorn Pick-Up in the a.m. – times to be announced

Parents:

Review the order form with your Scout before he sells door-to-door. Please fill in your Scout’s name / phone on the order form and inform customers that their popcorn order will be delivered the second week of November.

Payment must be collected at the time of purchase – all checks should be written to Boy Scout Troop 24.

Donation Receipts are available for Military Donations of $30 and $50. Donations at these two levels are for gifts of popcorn to the military, their families and veteran’s organizations.

Scouts who log into or sign up for online selling by September 30 will be eligible to win a $10 Amazon gift card – Go to sell.trails-end.com, fill out the registration information and select SIGN UP. When you are asked for the Council name, scroll down to PTAC-LaGrange (Pathway to Adventure Council in LaGrange).

Motivate your Scout by reviewing the Prize Sheet – which includes Adventures such as iFLY Indoor Skydiving and Prizes such as two tickets to a 2016 Chicago Blackhawks Game!
