Last Week to Finish Requirements in Old 12th Edition Scout Handbook

THURSDAY December 8 TROOP 24 MEETING 7:00 PM

  • SCOUT DUES NOW DUE!!!!!
  • December: Hobbies
  • BRING SCOUT BOOK TO ALL MEETINGS.
  • CHEESE CHINCILLA in charge of meeting set-up, FLAGS, and clean-up. Report at 6:45pm in Full Uniform.
  • Trail to First Class: We sent home forms to complete Second Class Citizenship 8c & 8d. It is a great day to earn some money shoveling snow and complete these requirements.
  • Trail to First Class: All scouts should be tracking their physical activity for Tenderfoot 6b, Second 7a, First 8a.  These need to be completed consecutively.  We sent home Activity Log sheets but you may also print them from the Personal Fitness Merit Badge workbook p11 at MeritBadge.org.
  • Trail to First Class: Review your books and study and practice those skills you have yet completed in the next rank you are working towards.  This week will be your opportunity to meet with the ASMs to be tested for your unfinished rank advancement requirements.
  • Trail to First Class: LAST Week to complete requirements under the old 12th Edition Book and do a Scoutmaster Conference before the December 15 Boards of Review.
  • Mateo C: Geology Collection & Michael L: Model Airplanes Collection Demonstrations
  • Cyber Chip: Scout Rank and Star Rank need to acquire the Cyber Chip for your age.  Go to http://www.netsmartz.org/scouting to review the requirements.  Once you have completed the Read, Write and Watch requirements, please see Scoutmaster Flaherty to schedule the Teach and Talk requirements.  We have the Cards.  The chip expires after one year, see Scoutmaster Flaherty to “Recharge” or renew the Chip.

  • December 15: Last Board of Review for Rank Advancement under the 12th Edition Handbook.
  • December 16: Holiday Party, Laser Quest Finley Square Mall, 1524 Butterfield Rd, Downers Grove, IL 60515.  5:40-7:45pm.

  • January 21:  Voyager Trace District-Wide Klondike Derby at Bemis Woods, Western Springs, Illinois
