Every year the Troop has to pay the BSA for each scout.  Dues for 2016 will be the same as 2015 – $38.  Please pay online as soon as possible.

28 of our 70 scouts have paid dues for the coming year. Our charter has to be submitted to the Council before December 15. To continue in scouts, please pay online at Constant Contact.

We hope all of our current scouts are continuing in scouting, but if your scout has decided to drop out, could you please let us know by sending an email to nmhopkins1@comcast.net. Thanks.

We are now collecting dues for 2015. When we “recharter” the troop at the end of the year, we are required to pay dues for every scout and registered adult. Last year the BSA increased dues after we had already started collecting at the old level. The Troop Committee voted to cover the difference for 2014. For 2015, the dues will be $38 per scout, which also covers the cost of the Boys Life subscription. Because our charter and payment are due by December 15, please pay for your dues as soon as possible. We are collecting payment online through Constant Contact. If your son is not continuing in scouts, we would appreciate knowing that so we won’t continue nagging you for dues! Please contact Nancy Hopkins at nmhopkins1@comcast.net to let us know.

We held a parent meeting on September 19. Unfortunately, not many parents were available, so attendance was sparse. At that meeting we passed out “Scout Information Forms” for parents to check and update contact information for their scouts. For those parents who were not able to attend the meeting, we will get the forms to you by another method. In addition, we are now collecting dues for this school year, which will be $30 per scout. Dues can be paid by check made out to Troop 24, or online via WePay at https://www.wepay.com/events/dues-2013-2014-school-year. ALL of the dues money goes to the BSA, and due to a recent decision from the BSA to increase dues, our dues of $30/scout actually falls short of covering the cost by $6/scout. (Full dues will be $24 for BSA and $12 for Boys Life subscription, for a total of $36.)
