Eagle Court of Honor this Sunday

All scouts, leaders and Troop 24 family members are invited to attend the Eagle Scout Court of Honor for Casey Gomorczak, William Gmitro, Killian Klotz and William Flaherty. The ceremony will take place this Sunday, August 14 at 3pm at the Riverside Presbyterian Church, with a reception to follow the ceremony. Scouts and leaders who have signed up to participate in the ceremony should arrive at 1:45 for a rehearsal.

Eagle Project Help Needed July 2 and 3

Erik H. would like your help with his Eagle project on Saturday July 2 and Sunday July 3. The project is building benches for Komarek School, and scouts and adults are needed to help with construction of these benches during three shifts each day.

The work will take place in Erik’s yard at 2413 4th Avenue, North Riverside. Refreshments will be provided. Also, there is a pool for helpers to cool off in after their shift if they want (remember to bring a suit & towel). Thank you for your help!

Eagle Project Help Needed

Elijah O is requesting scout assistance from any scouts whose families have a front-loading washing machine. (Regular machines are too hard on the animals.) He has bags of stuffed animals to be washed and dried. If you are able to help, please contact Elijah at elijahourth@comcast.net.

Final Help Needed for Eagle Scout Project

This Thursday, June 16th, Kit K. will be taking a group of scouts to the Keep Northern Illinois Beautiful recycling facility. Scouts will help melt down the old crayons and make new ones, as well as see the different recycling processes. The facility is in Rockford and scouts should meet at 288 Gage Road at 8:00 am and will get back around 4:00 pm. Please email Kit at kit6789@att.net with your name and contact information if you plan on attending.

Help Needed for Eagle Project

Kit K’s Eagle Project involves collecting crayons from the local area and recycling them with a facility in Rockford called Keep Northern Illinois Beautiful, where the crayons will be donated to schools in the Rockford area. He needs help with collections happening at Central and Ames Schools on Thursday, June 2nd and Friday, June 3rd.
