Pancake Breakfast Schedule

All members of Troop 24 are required to work a shift at the Pancake Breakfast which will be held on Saturday, March 5. Sue Jones, the Pancake Breakfast Chair, is in the process of making the scout schedule for this event. She will need to know if a scout has any timing conflicts on that date by this Friday, February 12. Please email her at sue_jones@designpac.com if you have a time conflict, so she can accommodate you. After February 12, the schedule will be finalized and will be sent out to the troop membership. After this date, if a scout can not make the shift that he is assigned to, it is the responsibility of the scout to arrange to switch with another scout and also to email Sue Jones to inform her of the switch. Thank you in advance for your cooperation in this important scheduling project.

Pancake Breakfast Schedules Attached (REALLY)

Sorry for all the confusion about the Pancake Breakfast schedule. It is the policy of the Troop that we do not list boys’ full names, with the exception of our Eagle Scouts. That policy applies to attachments that you may find on the Troop 24 website as well. If we need to provide information that we don’t want search engines to index, we put those items in a password-protected directory. For those of you who do not remember the password, or for new families who never had the password, please contact Nancy Hopkins to get that information, as there are other items available in the “Members Only” section that you may sometime want to view.   (One example is the credit that scouts accumulate in their Popcorn Accounts, which they can apply toward outings.)

To make this easier, however, and to insure that everyone has the right time for their work shifts at the Pancake Breakfast, attached is the schedule listing boys by first name and last initial.  All scouts are required to work their assigned shifts.   It is the scout’s responsibility to find someone to trade if the scout has a conflict.  Scouts who have  school-related conflicts have been scheduled to work on set-up.

Any parents (especially dads) and older scouts who can return at 1:00 p.m. for cleanup would be very much appreciated. We need a group in order to put away all the tables and carry all the supplies to the third floor storage area. Thank you!

Pancake Breakfast Money Due

Scouts: The deadline for turning in your pancake breakfast ticket money is this Thursday, February 26, at the Scout meeting. If you are unable to be at the meeting, please drop it off at Sue Jone’s house prior to that date. If no one is at home, push the envelope all the way in to the mail box so that it drops inside the house. If you don’t know where Sue lives, please e-mail her for directions.

Pancake Breakfast Sponsors Needed

Each year for the Pancake Breakfast, we sell sponsorship squares for our placemat to area businesses and supporters of scouting. Due to the recession, we have lost a few of our traditional sponsors. If any parent could sponsor a square, please email Sue Jones by 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, February (tomorrow). Sue can either pick up a copy of your business card from your house or you can email it to Sue. The sponsorship levels are : $50 bronze sponsor, $100 silver sponsor, $150 gold sponsor. Thank you!

Pancake Breakfast

Congratulations to all Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts for a successful pancake breakfast! 719 meals were served this year (compared to 679 in 2007 and 686 in 2006). The Boy Scouts sold about 655 tickets, the Cub Scouts sold about 615 tickets, 109 tickets were sold at the door, and we received $59 in donations. We had over 40 boy scouts, and many parents, help either on Friday evening or the day of the event. The Pancake Breakfast is our main fundraiser, supporting all the Troop’s events.
