Eagle Project Help Needed

Max H’s Eagle Project involves reorganizing the RBHS band library. He needs assistance from both scouts and adults. You can sign up for multiple days, starting on April 11 and continuing throughout the month.

New parents & scouts: all scouts need to earn service hours for advancement, and working on Eagle projects counts toward those hours.

Pinewood Derby Help Needed

Pack 24 still has two openings for boy scouts to assist with the Pinewood Derby on January 30. One scout is needed at 2:15 and another at 3:00. More information is available here:

Pinewood Derby Help Needed 1-30-15

Pack 24 is requesting assistance from Troop 24 boy scouts to help run the annual Pinewood Derby on Saturday, January 30, in the RPC gym. There will be four 45-minute shifts beginning at noon, with 3 scouts needed for each shift. The last shift may go for an hour, depending on the timing of the race. You can sign up for more than one shift, but you must sign up for each shift separately:

12:00 – 12:45
12:45 – 1:30
1:30 – 2:15
2:15 – 3:00
3:00 – 3:45

All boy scouts who help will receive a free lunch or snacks, which will be served by the girl scouts of Troop 657 in the Social Hall. You will also receive service hours.

Please report for your shift 5 minutes BEFORE your scheduled start time. See Mr. Jerz for instructions when you arrive.

Clothing & Shoe Drive

Getting ready for spring? Cleaning your closets? Troop 24 will be collecting gently used clothing and shoes for kids and teens in February and March. Begin saving your outgrown items now. The clothing will be donated through Messengers of Peace and the shoes through Soles for Souls.

Casey’s Project December 26

Anyone who is helping with Casey’s Project: please make sure you dress for the weather. It is supposed to rain, so dress accordingly. Also bring work gloves to protect your hands while you are using tools. See you Saturday, December 26, at 8 am in the parking lot of Hauser Jr. High!

All scouts and adults are invited to help with Casey’s Eagle Project Saturday, December 26 (8:00 am to 12:00 pm) at Hauser Jr. High. The work will consist of putting up reflectors on stop signs throughout Riverside.

This work includes a lot of walking so wear comfortable footwear. Dress for the weather, it might be cold. BRING TOOLS FOR TIGHTENING NUTS AND BOLTS (½ inch wrench, ½ inch crescent wrench, ½ inch combo wrench, ½ inch open wrench, ½ inch ratchet with ½ inch socket standard or deep well) Snacks and drinks will be provided. Service hours will be given to scouts who need them.

Milk & Cookies with St. Nick December 6, 2015

St. Mary’s Parish is in need of Scouts to help set up for the Milk & Cookies with St. Nick event on Sunday, December 6 from 8:00-9:00 a.m. and take down from 2:00-2:30 p.m. at the St. Mary Parish Center, 126 Herrick Road, Riverside. Everyone is welcome to enjoy milk and cookies with St. Nick from 9-2. Service hours will be awarded.

Holiday Bazaar Service Project 2015

Riverside Presbyterian Church is in need of scouts to help take down the Holiday Bazaar on Saturday, November 14 at 3:00 p.m. The time commitment is about an hour and community service will be awarded. Report to Sandra Kappmeyer upon your arrival.
