Over 300 new photos were uploaded over the weekend, so most of our scouts are likely pictured. Those who have not witnessed the bog hike in person will probably be interested in the Camp Mach album. Thanks to parents who provided some of the pictures. Most photos were taken by Troop Historian/Photographer, Abraham O.

Illinois Beach Now a Day Trip

There has been a change to the schedule for next weekend’s outing to the Voyager Trace Fall Camp-o-ree at Illinois Beach State Park. Due to Leader availability the trip has been changed to a day trip. We will leave from the Riverside Presbyterian Church parking lot at 7:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 24 and return at approximately 9:00 p.m. the same day. The Scouts will be dropped off at their homes in the evening. If you paid by check, your check will be returned to you, and we ask that you send in a $10 check at your earliest convenience. If you paid by cash you will receive a $10 refund.

Contact Dawn Gmitro with any questions.

Corn Maze Builders Needed

The Girl Scouts are sponsoring Riverfest this weekend, and the Boy Scouts will be helping them construct a corn maze. We need 6-8 boys on SUNDAY at 9:00 am at the triangular park behind the water works. We expect this should only take about 1 to 1.5 hours, but we have from 9:00 to noon to get it done. The corn maze we will be building is for smaller children to go through. All the materials will be there for us. The plan is to have an area about 10 to 15 feet by 10 to 15 feet and about 6 feet tall. Please contact Ray Rogers with questions, or to volunteer.
