Adult Volunteers needed for an Eagle Board of Review

I am looking for 3-4 adults to sit on an Eagle Board of Review on Thursday May 23rd at 7:00 PM. Sitting on an Eagle Board it is a very rewarding opportunity to be a part of a Scout’s final step to achieving the rank of Eagle. No experience is necessary.  If you have not sat on an Eagle Board previously I can provide you with resources to familiarize yourself with topics that are discussed at the Board. Additionally, the Board is run by our Council Representative. We will meet at the Riverside Presbyterian Church in the Parlor. The time committment is approximately 1 to 1- 1/2 hours.

If you are interested please email me at dmgmitro@aol.com.

Thank you,

Dawn Gmitro

Robert M Eagle Project Workday – Saturday, May 18

A message from Robert M about his Eagle Project:

Last weekend we created two cages to protect the plants we are planting this Saturday May 18th. The work day will start at 10:00 am at the Wolfe Wildlife Refuge in Oak Lawn (W 109th St &, Laramie Ave, Oak Lawn). Rides will offered to anyone that needs them, we will pick up scouts around 9:00 am. During the workday we will plant the plants within the cages after weeding. The work day will conclude around 1:00 pm and scouts can get a ride back as well. Food and water will be provided. Scouts should wear long pants and shoes that can get dirty. If the scouts have any work gloves at home they should also bring those.
