Last camping outing for the fall – Waterfall Glen – Nov. 10-12, 2017

Greetings Scouts,

Troop 24 is planning a fun filled and productive weekend camp out to Waterfall Glen in Lemont, IL from Friday, November 10th to Sunday, November 12th, 2017.  The weekend will include a five mile hike using a map and compass to complete Second Class Req. 3b on Saturday morning and a one mile orienteering course to complete First Class Req. 4a on Saturday afternoon.  This is the only opportunity to complete these two requirements with Troop 24.  We will also complete Cooking Merit Badge Req. 6.  And, as a friendly reminder, scouts need 20 nights of camping to complete the Camping Merit Badge.  This will be our last campout until March, 2018!!

Don’t miss this one and only annual opportunity to complete these rank advancement requirements and have a great time doing so!!!

Logistics:

  • Scouts signed up for this outing should be dropped off at RPC at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 10th, 2017. We will return late morning on Sunday Nov. 12th.
  • Signup DEADLINE is Wednesday, November 1st, 2017.
  • The Scout cost for this outing is $35.
