TROOP 24 CHRISTMAS CAROL VIDEO

TROOP 24 CHRISTMAS CAROL VIDEO

While we can’t provide in-person holiday merriment to the residents of Cantata this year, we can give them a virtual musical gift.

So, dust off your instruments, tune up your voices, find your carol books, and consider contributing a song to our Troop Anthology.

You can use your preferred device to create your video, of course – and feel free to introduce yourself and family members joining you and introducing your song selection. Be festive!

Finally, ensure that a parent is in the video with you, in accordance with Youth Protection guidelines.

We’ll provide details about submitting your song for the compilation later. Until then, click HERE to sign up to provide a song!

Service Project at The Boulevard – Sunday, March 29

Our troop’s chartered organization, the Riverside Presbyterian Church, prepares, transports and serves a hot meal for 45-75 residents of The Boulevard (Chicago, Illinois) on the last Sunday of every month. The Boulevard provides a healing environment and resources to help ill and injured homeless adults restore their health, rebuild their lives and regain self-sufficiency. RPC has requested that scouts transport and serve the meal for the month of March (food will be purchased/prepared by church members). We are in need of a small group – 4 scouts and 2 adults- to participate in the service project. We will meet at the RPC kitchen at 2:30 on Sunday, March 29th, and be home around 6pm. This project is easy and rewarding, plus you will get to share in the meal of White Fence Farm chicken.

Help Needed with Pinewood Derby – January 25

Pack 24’s annual pinewood derby will be held on Saturday, January 25, and they are seeking help from our scouts. Any Troop 24 scout that wishes to work a one hour shift will earn a service hour, and will also have lunch or snack, courtesy of the pack.

Our scouts will be managing the race by setting up the pinewood cars, and retrieving them to bring back to the starting gates.

Shifts are available in one-hour blocks starting at 1:00pm. The racing is expected to wrap up at 3:00pm so the last shift will help with clean up.

Thanks in advance for your help. Click here to sign up today.
