Adult volunteers needed for an Eagle Board of Review

I am looking for 3-4 adults to sit on an Eagle Board of Review on Monday October 21st at 7:00 PM.  Current Eagle Scouts who are 18 years old are encouraged to volunteer.  Sitting on an Eagle Board it is a very rewarding opportunity to be a part of a Scout’s final step to achieving the rank of Eagle. No experience is necessary.  If you have not previously sat on an Eagle Board I can provide you with resources to familiarize yourself with topics that are discussed at the Board. Additionally, the Board is run by our Council Representative. We will meet at the Riverside Presbyterian Church. The time committment is approximately 1-1 1/2 hrs.

If you are interested please email me at dmgmitro@aol.com.

Thank you,

Dawn Gmitro

Last Chance for the Horsemanship Badge!

Registration for the Horsemanship Merit Badge Campout closes tomorrow (5/5/19) so register today!

Fourteen Scouts are already signed up so it would really help if at least one Parent Chaperone can make this trip a success. If you haven’t camped with us before, this is a great weekend to do it. Saturday’s weather forecast is 60’s, and mostly sunny.

This is a great campout for SOOOOOO many reasons!

  • We get to set up camp ON the ranch!
  • Millbrook has a huge fire area to make awesome bonfires. Is anyone getting hungry for S’Mores???
  • Saturday Scouts will work on the Horsemanship merit badge and all requirements will be covered in class.
  • Saturday evening hayride.
  • The ranch is only an hour south of Riverside so travel times will be short!

*Scouts will meet at RPC at 4:15pm for a 4:30pm departure.

*Scouts will return Sunday morning.
