Pancake Breakfast Update

ALL SCOUTS ARE REQUIRED TO WORK THE PANCAKE BREAKFAST!

The work schedule is now available. To access it, go to http://everyyear.org,
Click the Login Button under Troop Members,
Click the Scout Login button
Enter your BSA# from your ticket packet in to the form and click the Login Button.
If you have lost your BSA#, email pancakes@troop24riverside.com to have it sent to you.
Once you are logged in, you will see a link to the Scout Job Schedules under Job Assignments.

On the Work Schedule Page, choose a job shift you will commit to work by clicking on the ASSIGN TO ME button. If you make a mistake, you can click on the RED X next to your name to clear that assignment and select another one. Once you have chosen an assignment, return to the home page by clicking on “Every Year – Pancake Breakfast” in the upper left hand corner of the page. You should now see your job assignment listed. IF YOU DO NOT, go back and try again. You can also make changes if you need to.

There are shifts ranging from 6:30am through 2:00pm. If there is some family or school reason you cannot work the day of the pancake breakfast, you must have a parent email pancakes@troop24riverside.com to be excused from the day of, then you MUST sign up for the Setup on Thursday, Feb 28th. You can see those shifts by selecting the Setup Tab from the Work Schedule page, but you won’t be able to claim them unless you have been excused from the day of requirement.

If you are on the edge of being old enough for a cooking job, or a scout master gives permission for you to work an age restricted job that you are blocked from, either have the scoutmaster contact me, or email me that your birthday is close and I’ll open those jobs up for you.

We’ve had some reports that the schedule might not look correct on some Apple computers. I’m working on a fix. If you don’t see the shifts starting at 6:30am, try using a Windows PC if you have access, or email me with the job and shift you want at pancakes@troop24riverside.com.

Scouts BSA Information Meeting

On Thursday, February 21 at 7 pm, Troop 24 leaders will hold an information meeting about Scouts BSA programs for girls. This meeting will take place at the Social Hall of Riverside Presbyterian Church, 116 Barrypoint Road. Although Troop 24 does not currently have a linked female troop, we want to let our community know about this opportunity and gauge interest in a possible linked troop. See this flyer for details and please invite your friends and family with 11 to 17 year old girls to attend.

Elmwood Park Merit Badge Academy

Registration is now open for the Merit Badge Academy which will be held at Elmwood Park High School on Saturday, March 30. For more information and to sign up and pay, click HERE.

This not troop event, so register directly with the program, and plan to provide your own transportation. This is a nearby program offered by our Council, and we usually end up having a group of scouts who have breakfast and lunch together that day.

Some merit badge classes fill quickly, so register ASAP if you know that you want to participate in specific subjects. Den Chief training will also be offered at this program.

Skating Merit Badge

We will soon be offering the opportunity for our troop members to work on the Skating Merit Badge (ice skating option), led by Mr. Robertson. You can read more about the requirements for this merit badge here.

Sign up to let us know if you are interested in participating, and we will contact you once we determine dates and times.
